Festo’s New Plant in Mexico Expands Capacity and Promotes Local Growth

Festo, renowned for its innovative automation technologies, has taken a significant step towards strengthening its presence in the Americas with the establishment of a new plant in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. The company plans to invest USD 100 million in the plant, demonstrating its strategic focus on the “Local for Local” approach, which aims to leverage the substantial growth opportunities available in these markets.

The construction of the new plant will be executed in three phases, with completion expected in 2025. This expansion project will not only enhance Festo’s production capacity but also create 1,500 employment opportunities, gradually fueling the local economy. By setting up operations in Salinas Victoria, Festo aims to cater to diverse sectors such as automotive, mining, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, offering cutting-edge automation solutions.

While this marks Festo’s initial manufacturing venture in Mexico, the country’s advantageous geographical position makes it an ideal hub for supplying both North and South American markets. Recognizing the increasing significance of Mexico as a production base, Festo is strategically positioning itself to meet the growing demands of customers in the region.
